Ostara Follow-up Report:

Ostara was delightful. Over 20 friends braved the weather to show up on Saturday. We gathered upstairs in the Temple for ritual and sharing. The tradition of spiritual eclecticism* in Annwfn rituals was continued with Fenwick's calling the circle using a series of powerful tonal chants to each Quarter. We then spent over an hour of sharing Annwfn lore. After thanking the Spirits and closing the Circle, it was time to head back for a fine potluck, with poached salmon, pork roast, lentil soup, lasagna, guacamole, cheeses, pastries and more.

Several more friends showed up on Sunday, and the May Queen's 4-year-old daughter Lilly spent the morning hunting the Fertility Symbols decorated the previous evening. Of course Jack came up with one of his signature breakfast specialties. The scheduled planting and gardening activities were postponed due to heavy rain.

Even with all the rain the Main Ranch Road is in better condition than any time in the past--no slippery spots. The road has a number of new State installed culverts, which goes a long way toward stopping washouts. Most people drove in via the Greenway, and a few parked in the Annwfn lower lot.

Half of the contributions donated went to pay the property tax (1 of 2 payments). Many thanks!

Watch for a more details soon.

* For those who have not been coming over the years, new Royalty have each brought the flavor of their own traditions to their main rituals. For example, King Travis and Queen Loren brought powerful Thelemic elements, King Dan and Queen Sherry called the Ancestors and Ancient Ones in the Native tradition, and so on.
