On-Going Projects

Goat Lodge
There is a new wooden door on the Goat Lodge which was paid for as a donation to the land by the Caretakers.
The window in the Goat Lodge kitchen which has been broken for years is now replaced with beautiful new glass.
Also, new glass has been installed in three other windows in the Goat Lodge, including the two front windows in the Goat Lodge
which were plastic.
Solar System
There are currently 8 solar panels (including the 6 purchased with Beltaine 2007 proceeds) and 8 new batteries
(donated entirely by the Caretakers). The system needs two more batteries to function at full capacity.
6 batteries make up the bank which charges the other 2 batteries. The bank of 6 batteries is what
powers anything AC power that’s plugged-in in the Goat Lodge. The 2 other batteries power the lights in the Goat Lodge.
Currently installing a Petlton Wheel (which was created and donated to Annwfn by Gypsy); it is hoped that this
Wheel will charge the batteries in the winter when there is more water-flow and less sun.
We are hopping to double our current solar system so we can have an electric fridge for festivities. This would require the following:
6-8 more batteries
1 more 6-8 cell solar array
another charge controler
one more pelton wheel
Garden
Many beautiful fruits and vegetables have blossomed in our Goddess-dedicated Organic Garden this year: tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini,
pumpkin, squash of various kinds, sun choke, carrots, cauliflower, corn (blessed by the Community), garlic, onions, potatoes, cherries,
plum, apples, and pear.
The bird netting that was placed on the cherry tree was a huge success! All of the Goddess’ children had plenty of sweet fruits; human and animal.
There were more cherries to feast upon this year than usual.
A new greenhouse was donated by Caretaker Jeff and erected by the Community.
General Updates
The Red House is now a workshop downstairs, with Joe and Aileen living in the loft upstairs. The workshop area is not at optimal functioning,
but there needs to be a space to store tools so they won’t rust as well as an area for working with these tools.
The chicken coop has been converted to a wood shed. This gives us the opportunity to store even more wood for the winter celebrations.
Annwfn now has a long-term agreement with a scrap yard to dispose of the junk cars in the Ancesteral Lot and lower lot. The agreement is that we will receive $50 per ton of scrap meal. There is need for a trailer to haul the material and a device to cut the cars into moveable pieces of scrap metal.
The Cistern Chapel is currently out of order permanently because of misuse.
